Home Care Service · Redondo Beach & the South Bay

Personal Home Care Service in Redondo Beach, CA

The hardest help to ask for is often the most personal. A shower that's become frightening. A bathroom trip at night. A pill organizer that keeps getting mixed up.

Our home care service gives seniors that help quietly and respectfully, so they can keep living on their own terms. Every caregiver is state-registered, background-checked, and chosen for their patience as much as their skill.

Personal Care

Personal care is help with the everyday tasks that keep someone clean, comfortable, and moving safely. Our caregivers follow your loved one's lead, helping only where it's needed and encouraging independence everywhere else.

What's included:

  • Showering, bathing, and oral care
  • Dressing and undressing
  • Hair care, shaving, and skin care
  • Safe transfers from bed, chair, or toilet
  • Steady support while walking around the home

Toileting and Incontinence Care

Few things affect a person's dignity more than needing help in the bathroom. We handle this care calmly and matter of factly, with complete respect for privacy, so it never feels embarrassing.

What's included:

  • Help getting to and from the bathroom safely
  • Assistance with incontinence products and changes
  • Gentle hygiene and skin care to prevent irritation
  • Changing and laundering soiled bedding and clothing
  • Scheduled bathroom reminders to reduce accidents

Medication Reminders

Our caregivers help keep medications on schedule, so you're not calling every morning to ask, "Did you take your pills?"

What's included:

  • Timely reminders throughout the day
  • Making sure medications are taken with meals when directed
  • Noticing when supplies run low and letting your family know
  • Reporting any missed doses or unusual changes to you

Caregivers remind and observe. They don't administer injections or manage medical treatments, which falls under home health care.

Not sure if your parent needs personal care or just a little reminder help? We'll help you sort it out.

Post-Hospital & Recovery Care

Coming home after a hospital stay can be challenging. Your loved one may feel weaker, have new daily routines, or need extra help with bathing, meals, and getting around the house.

Our recovery care service may help your loved one follow discharge instructions, move safely, and regain strength at a comfortable pace. When hospital discharge forces a fast timeline, care can often begin the same day or the next.

What's included:

  • Help with mobility, bathing, and dressing during recovery
  • Light meals and hydration support
  • Reminders to follow discharge instructions and exercises
  • Updates to family on progress and concerns

Respite Care

Caring for a parent or spouse is an act of love, and it's also exhausting. Respite care gives family caregivers a real break, knowing someone trained and trustworthy is keeping the routine going.

How families use respite care:

  • A few hours a week for errands, work, or rest
  • Overnight coverage after a string of sleepless nights
  • A weekend away or a family event out of town
  • A full week while you travel or recover yourself

Respite can be one time or scheduled regularly. Many families find a standing weekly break keeps them from burning out.

How We Protect Dignity During Personal Care

Personal care only works when your loved one feels respected. Our caregivers are guided by a few simple principles:

  • Ask first. They explain what they're about to do and wait for a yes.
  • Help, don't take over. If your parents can button their own shirt, they button their own shirt.
  • Protect privacy. Doors closed, towels ready, and conversation kept warm and normal.
  • Follow their way. Routines, preferences, and habits come first.
  • Speak up gently. Any changes in skin, mobility, or mood are shared with your family.

Home Care Service Questions

Can personal care be just a few hours a week?

Yes. Many families start with short morning or evening visits around bathing and dressing, then add time as needed.

Can respite care be scheduled on a regular basis?

Absolutely. Some families book the same afternoon every week. Others schedule respite around trips or busy seasons.

Do caregivers give medications?

No. Caregivers provide reminders and observe that medications are taken, but they don't administer injections or manage medical treatments.

How soon can recovery care start after a hospital discharge?

Often the same day or the next. Call us as soon as you know the discharge date, and we'll plan around it.
